Ultrasound
mentoring

I offer face-to-face and online mentoring for clinicians who are developing their MSK ultrasound practice and want focused feedback on particular skills, cases or areas of uncertainty.

Sessions are shaped around your experience, clinical setting and learning needs.

Who mentoring is for?

Mentoring is intended for clinicians who already have some exposure to MSK ultrasound and want to develop particular areas of their practice.

This may include clinicians completing postgraduate ultrasound training, those returning to scanning after a course, or more experienced practitioners who want to discuss difficult cases or refine specific skills.

If you are undertaking a formal university programme, mentoring should complement rather than replace the supervision and competency requirements of your course.

What we could work on.

Scanning technique & image optimisation

Refining probe position, movement and image acquisition for particular anatomical regions.

Sonoanatomy & image interpretation

Using anatomy to interpret what you see on screen, recognise common pathology and navigate artefacts and diagnostic uncertainty

Cases &
clinical reasoning

Reviewing anonymised cases and considering how ultrasound findings relate to the history, examination and wider clinical picture.

Reporting & communicating findings

Developing clear, clinically useful reports and communicating imaging findings effectively to colleagues and patients.

Online mentoring

Focused sessions for case discussion, image interpretation, reporting and clinical reasoning.

You can bring anonymised cases or particular questions from your practice, and we can work through the images, findings and how they fit with the wider clinical picture.
